Ever heard of the phrase "Hope Floats." I first heard it from the movie of the same name starring Sandra Bullock and Harry Connick, Jr. What the heck does "hope floats" mean anyways? Well, think about it, hope is a wish or a wanting. It’s s/t you think about when things seem hopeless. Usually occurs when a situation is beyond your control. Hope is a cushion that gentle cradles you to help break your fall. Hope is a light feeling, usually happy and joyess. Hope is a feeling that is always on the top. Hope is never heavy, never sinks…always floats!
It’s a light film that runs over the bad feeling/situations. It’s never hidden and always visible. I like to think of hope as a transparent liquid that is running over block of ice, something that if you have enough of it, it will eventually melt away the ice underneath, bit by bit, layer by layer. So when you have hope, anything IS possible. Its amazing what two little words can convey. So yeah, Hope Floats. Ok…. enough artsy fartsy crap.
