The black plastic flipper

Whenever you buy a fancy binder, it usually comes with this triangular or long plastic divider thing that goes in the front and/or the back of a binder. Well, today, for the first time ever, I was asked what that piece of plastic is for.

Since i am a product of JO physics classes, I had a D-ring binder and was explained what this particular do-hecky is for way back when. Its main purpose is to prevent the front couple pages from curling by getting caught in between the cover and the rings itself, and doubles up as a divider/flipper in thick binders. And after 10 years (good lord, its been a while), this is the first time i had to use this almost useless knowledge at work. Weird. Guess high school really does prepare you for everything!

The black plastic flipper fucking ownz, baby. When I started school in Sept, I wouldn't settle for no 99cent crappy folders. Nope. This boy went to staples and bought himself a heavy duty D-ring folder with black plastic flipper thingy. No regrets, whatsoever.
