We were at dimusm yesterday and noticed a man at the next table gesturing to a nearby dimsum lady with a steam cart. He was holding out a bowl of liquid with food bits inside (probably some dirty stuff he spat out). I suppose he wanted the contents thrown out so the dimsum lady took it and just poured it into her cart full of dimsum dishes!!! Gross!!

She was careful to dump it at the bottom of the cart and down what appears to be drain holes but hello??? Those holes are actually steam holes from the hot water inside the cart which helps keep the food warm!?! So essentially, the dirty water would have worked its way back up onto the food above it. [shiver] That is so unsanitary and disgusting. It's awful just thinking about it.
